The back yard was designed to feel like a private oasis.
The client was looking for a new pool and spa with integrated alfresco living area. They were hoping to get a lush planting style to complement the establish Palm Springs style front garden.
The roofed alfresco was tricky as it had to be engineered to connect the house.
The sauna needed to be connected to the pool area but we wanted to make this space very green, very lush so that when you either stepped out of the sauna, or looked towards the sauna from the pool, the view was very inviting.
There wasn’t a lot of space for garden once the pool and deck went in so those small areas we had for plants had to be bold, leafy selections.
The garden bed behind the pool is planted with Strelitzia Nicholai and Ligularia remiformis.
